JustUs: Terms of Use and Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

JustUs is operated by Asli One Global Private Limited (CIN U62011TN2026PTC190105), No. 309/3, Yasmin Nagar, Vedanarayanapuram, Alapakkam, Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu 603111, India. 2. Who can use JustUs

You must be 18 or older. JustUs connects exactly two people who both agree to be paired. You sign in with your own mobile number.

3. What end-to-end encryption means here

Messages, photos, videos, documents, audio, voice notes, stickers, locations, avatars, love letters, Moments, special days, calendar plans and game moves are encrypted on the sending phone and can only be opened on the two paired phones. Voice and video calls are encrypted end to end between the two phones; when a direct connection is not possible, the encrypted call passes through our relay server, which cannot listen to or see it. JustUs does not have the keys and cannot read, hear or view this content.

4. What we keep

JustUs holds only what it needs to run your chat, and only while it runs:

• your account: a one-way hash of your mobile number (never the number itself), your display name, colour and public keys;
• who you are paired with;
• sealed messages, photos and files, only until your partner's phone receives them (after that, only the time each was sent, delivered and read).

Your conversation is kept on your two phones, encrypted, and nowhere else. If you move JustUs to a new phone, the conversation stays on the old one and does not come along; your partner is told you moved. JustUs keeps no archive and no backups of conversations. Each message is sealed to a single-use key that the receiving phone destroys after opening it, so even a key taken later cannot open what was sent before. To recover from a server failure, JustUs keeps a nightly backup of account records only: your hashed number, name, colour, public keys and whom you are paired with. Never content. Each backup is deleted after 7 days.

As CERT-In's directions require, JustUs keeps a record of each connection for 180 days: the date and time, the network address, the part of the service used, and the account. These records never contain content and are deleted after 180 days.

5. What happens when you break up

When a breakup completes, everything the two of you shared is erased from JustUs and from both phones: every message, photo, video, voice note, file and profile photo, and the pairing itself. No copy of what you shared is kept; the record that you were paired leaves the account backups (section 4) within 7 days. Your account (your hashed number, name and colour) stays, so you can pair again later; you can delete it at any time.

6. Requests from authorities

We answer valid orders from a court or a lawfully authorised government or police authority under Indian law with what we actually hold at that moment. That is very little, and message content is sealed: we cannot decrypt it. If a court orders us to preserve a specific account, we do so from that moment on, for as long as the order requires; nothing from before the order exists to be preserved. We do not tell users about an order where the law prohibits it. Connection records (section 4) are produced on a valid order for the period they cover.

7. Your responsibilities

JustUs does not monitor or moderate what you share. You are responsible for it and must use JustUs lawfully. Never share child sexual abuse material, content involving anyone under 18, or anything shared without the consent of the people shown in it. We act on valid complaints and lawful notices, including by blocking accounts and reporting to authorities as required.

8. Screenshots and saving

JustUs blocks screenshots and screen recording, and has no save, download or share function. It cannot stop someone photographing a screen with another device.

9. Third parties

SMS sign-in codes are sent and checked by Google Firebase Authentication, which receives your mobile number for that purpose. Notifications are sent through Google Firebase Cloud Messaging and contain no message content. These providers keep their own records under their own policies. JustUs has no advertising and no analytics or tracking tools.

10. Permissions on your phone

JustUs asks for the camera (photos, videos, video calls, scanning the safety code), the microphone (voice notes and calls), photos and files (only those you pick), your location (only when you tap Share location) and notifications. Each is used only for that purpose, only when you use it.

11. Deleting your account

In the app: break up first if you are paired, then choose Delete my account. This removes your account and everything linked to it from JustUs at once; connection records (section 4) are kept for the rest of their 180 days as the law requires and then deleted. If you cannot use the app, write to info@asli.one from any address, giving the mobile number of the account; we confirm it is yours by an SMS code and delete it within 7 days. Account backups (section 4) that still hold the account are deleted within 7 days.

12. Payments

JustUs is free. There are no purchases in the app.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Chengalpattu, Tamil Nadu have jurisdiction.
